“ I just want to thank you for helping us so much! Grace could not have gotten into Harvard and Stanford without your help. Her dreams have come true. We cannot say anything to express our happiness and thank you again. I hope you can help more kids—that would be wonderful.”

98% of my students are accepted into one or more of their top-choice schools.

Why use JTV College Consulting?

Finding the right college can open a world of opportunity. But navigating the process can be confusing and stressful.

I can help.

With 10 years’ experience, I’ve helped hundreds of students from the Silicon Valley and beyond articulate their academic goals and claim their place in some of the nation’s most competitive schools—including Harvard, Stanford, and MIT.

Your “Personal Score” is derived from non-academic criteria, such as essays, activities lists, and recommendations.

It can be a decisive factor in college admissions.

Most qualified applicants look similar on paper:

  • 4 in 5 are academically qualified.

A strong Academic Score increases admissions odds 3x.
But a strong Personal Score
provides a 10x boost.

Students with strong academics and strong personal scores account for 10% of applicants but 55% of acceptances.

A Proven Process for Success

My tested College Application process sets you apart and gets results.

1

Find your Story &
Make your Plan.

When juggling a heavy course load, clubs, and a demanding test schedule, it’s hard to pull back and see how it all fits together. Show colleges that there’s a method to the madness by crafting a personal story that demonstrates how your activities align with your values and life goals.

2

Build Skills with
Extracurriculars.

Colleges really care about how students use their time outside the classroom. In addition to showing initiative and personal responsibility, engaging in independent research or taking on an internship demonstrates genuine interest in a desired major as well as the ability to do college-level work.

3

Master the
Personal Statement.

Flashy hooks or sob stories alone don’t impress admissions boards. Honest self-reflection and a clearly articulated plan does. But that’s not as easy as it sounds. Completing Steps 1 and 2, however, will set you up to succeed by providing a vision to guide you and content to write about. You’ll be supported at every step of the writing process, from brainstorming key life-defining moments to presenting them clearly and compellingly and proofreading to perfection.

4

Execute Like a Pro.

Careless mistakes, missing documents, and unmet deadlines can doom an otherwise excellent application. Starting early and keeping to a schedule minimizes the chaos of crunch time.
